$18.1M WIS 100 project to bring bridge replacement, resurfacing in Milwaukee County

MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) — Gov. Tony Evers has approved an $18.1 million project to resurface a nearly three-mile stretch of WIS 100 and replace bridges over the Menomonee River in Milwaukee County. WisDOT project documents confirm the work extends from Burleigh Street to Silver Spring Drive and includes replacement of two WIS 100 bridges over the Menomonee River.

The project covers WIS 100, also known as Mayfair Road and Lovers Lane.

Improvements include roadway repairs and resurfacing, new paths beneath the WIS 100 bridges to improve pedestrian access, curb ramp upgrades to meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards, traffic signal improvements, new signs and pavement markings…
