MADISON — Counties and municipalities across Wisconsin received more than $152 million in transportation aid Monday to help repair, maintain and improve local roads and highways.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation distributed $152,117,468.33 in fourth-quarter payments through three programs. General Transportation Aids accounted for $142.6 million, while $4.26 million went to 116 eligible municipalities through the Connecting Highway Aid program. Milwaukee County received $5.26 million in Expressway Policing Aids.
