David Crowley’s Budget Sends $20,000 to Soros-Funded Racial Justice Group

Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley’s 2026 budget sets aside $20,000 for Race Forward, a national racial justice nonprofit that has taken millions from George Soros’ Open Society Foundations and whose flagship conference once hosted a workshop on building a “police-free world.”

The Daily Caller first reported the contract Tuesday. Crowley’s recommended 2026 budget for the county’s Office of Equity lists a $20,000 Race Forward contract for a countywide membership and professional development. The document says the ‘contracts are included in the 2026 Budget in lieu of separate review and approval from the County Board during the fiscal year’

Crowley, the Democratic nominee for governor, faces Republican Tom Tiffany on Nov. 3.
