Four Charged After Milwaukee Man Beaten in Hartford

A Beating in Hartford

Greater Milwaukee Today reported that a Milwaukee man was beaten in Hartford.

Hartford is about halfway between Milwaukee and Fond du Lac, according to the Town of Hartford.

Hartford’s police department maintains body-worn cameras for patrol officers and relies on a network of downtown surveillance cameras to investigate incidents like this one, according to the Atlas of Surveillance.

Burress later confirmed to investigators that he, Soppa, Mueller, and Senymanola were the four who beat the victim, the complaint states. The four allegedly targeted the Milwaukee man believing he was connected to the earlier arrest of Dylan Williams, who was taken into custody on two outstanding warrants at 1:34 a.m. on September 20. The second police response to the bar, when the victim arrived bleeding, came later that same night, at 10:02 p.m.

Wisconsin Felony Penalties

Four people have been charged in connection with the beating. Wisconsin law classifies aggravated battery with intent to cause great bodily harm as a Class E felony carrying up to 15 years in prison — 10 years of initial confinement plus five years of extended supervision — and fines up to $50,000, according to the Van Severen Law Office.
