MILWAUKEE – Brewers fans haven’t just been buying World Series tickets and merchandise. They’ve also been hitting the concession stands in droves to purchase food and beverage. In Games 1-2 of the Fall Classic at American Family Field, fans bought more than 300,000 F&B items (nearly four items per person), according to data from provider Delaware North.
That included more than 30,000 Racing Sausages (Polish, Italian, hot dog and brat). While they seesaw during the season, brats (11,000) beat hot dogs (10,000) as the WS top seller. Fans also purchased more than 7,000 orders of peanuts, 3,500 pretzels and 3,000 cheese curds. Delaware North also sold approximately 3,000 specialty items, which are created for the postseason, including the Brat Rangoon, Walk-Off Burger, Monkey Bread, Thai Elote Dog, Pasty and Prime Rib. Additionally, Delaware North did 4x its souvenir numbers (including koozies, cups and different baseball bats) than in the NLCS.
“It takes a Delaware North army,” said Kevin Jezewski, GM/Delaware North Sportservice at Am Fam Field. “It’s not just a local event. It’s a worldwide event. We have people coming from all over the world to try our food, and for us it’s important that Milwaukee’s food scene is shown well throughout this ballpark.”…
