‘They gotta do better’: Residents, alderman frustrated with snow removal

MILWAUKEE – It’s been almost two weeks since Milwaukee’s historic winter storm, but the mess remains in many of the city’s neighborhoods on the Northwest side. “In the past 138 years of Milwaukee snow, we’ve had 14 inches, 8 times, this was our 8th,” DPW Commissioner Jerrel Krusche said before Common Council on Wednesday. He said the heavy snow followed by the deep freeze was a unique situation making snow removal difficult.
