A friend of a friend sent the dog’s owner a photo of him living it up at Finks Bar in Milwaukee
An elderly dog with an adventurous spirit ended up in a place filled with spirits after sneaking through a cracked backyard gate last week and walking a mile to a Wisconsin bar.
Jenny Hazard’s dog Bear went missing on Wednesday night, she told FOX 6 in Milwaukee .
After frantically searching the immediate area for about 20 minutes, Hazard was beside herself, worried sick about the 16-year-old shih tzu , who has a heart condition.
“He can’t go far in snow,” Hazard said. “I’m like where could he have gone, right?”
The answer came soon after she took to social media — in the form of a text message.
“We get a text,” Hazard explained. “They said — your dog is down at Finks,” a popular local watering hole, and “I’m like what?”
A friend of a friend even sent Hazard a photo of Bear, living it up at Finks Bar.
She was relieved her dog was fine, but wondered how he ended up in a bar.
“Old man breaks free – goes to bar,” Hazard said with a laugh.
