Brewers, Rays throw punches in massive bench-clearing brawl

The Rays aren’t making many friends this season.

After getting into a brawl in March against the Blue Jays, they found themselves throwing down with the Brewers on Tuesday night in Milwaukee.

The fight occurred in the eighth inning, with the Brewers up 8-2 over the Rays when Jose Siri grounded out.

That’s when Milwaukee pitcher Abner Uribe and Siri started to jaw at one another, leading to the two confronting each other before Uribe threw a nasty right hook that sent Siri’s head back.

Siri tried to swing back but missed, forcing first base umpire Alex MacKay, who was trying to move him away, to duck and take cover.

Milwaukee’s Rhys Hoskins then pushed Siri away in an attempt to protect his pitcher.

Some more punches were thrown, and the benches and bullpens cleared as fans at American Family Field roared from the stands.
