Racine man facing 8 felonies, including child abuse and hit-and-run causing injury

RACINE, WI — A 39-year-old Racine man, who had been wanted in two separate felony cases since2022, now faces eight new criminal charges after a multiple-vehicle crash Jan. 13, including child abuse.

Arturo Rodriguez in charged with five felony bail-jumping charges, along with felony counts of operating while intoxicated causing injury and hit-and-run causing injury, which carry a total possible prison term of 36 years, nine months and a total fine of $70,000.

Rodriguez, who is in the Racine County Jail on a $15,000 cash bond, is also charged with misdemeanor operating after revocation…
