Plans are progressing to convert a 1½-mile stretch of Milwaukee’s Stadium Freeway into a four-lane boulevard that connects with other city streets − a project that could cost $125 million to $160 million.
The freeway, also known as Wisconsin Highway 175, would be decommissioned between Wisconsin and Lisbon avenues under several conceptual plans disclosed in April by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
