The SUV impacted an 8″x 8″ signpost about 30 feet south of the roadway, shearing it off and busting out the vehicle’s windshield, officials said. The SUV then struck a utility box, also shearing it off. The vehicle then continued traveling eastbound in the south ditch, narrowly missing a utility pole and guy wire as it traveled eastbound for about another 150 yards before coming to a stop.
