Former Spring Mall sold in Greenfield with plans for apartments

Plans for more than 250 apartments through a former mall are moving forward in Greenfield.

The city of Greenfield on Monday sold the property at 4200 S. 76th St. to Cold Spring Crossing Apartments, an affiliate of Milwaukee-based Mandel Group, for $4 million, state real estate records showed.

The city selected Mandel in a request for proposals to redevelop the former Spring Mall. The mall is mostly vacant and was the former home to a Pick ‘n Save and TJ Maxx. Meyer’s Restaurant & Banquet Hall is the last tenant standing on the nearly 24-acre property…
