Pursuit That Starts In Columbus Ends In Arrest Of Milwaukee Woman

(Columbus) A Milwaukee woman was arrested following a pursuit that started in the city of Columbus. A Columbia County sheriff’s deputy observed a vehicle operating with an equipment violation on Highway 151 Monday.

When activating their emergency lights, the suspect vehicle failed to slow down and continued into Dane County. A tire deflation device was used to disable the vehicle, but it continued until the driver disregarded a red light at Highway 19 and struck another car. No serious injuries were reported.

The suspect fled from the scene on foot but was quickly taken into custody. The driver was reportedly identified as Olyvia Couillard. Law enforcement observed signs that the 32-year-old was impaired by drugs. Fentanyl and drug paraphernalia were recovered from her vehicle. Couillard is facing numerous charges including Fleeing, Resisting, Possession of Narcotics, and OWI First Offense…
