West Allis Set for W. Lincoln Ave. Revamp with Public Meeting Scheduled for April 8

The streets of West Allis are set to receive a significant makeover, as the City, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), and LaLonde Contractors, Inc. have announced plans for the reconstruction of W. Lincoln Ave. For locals interested in learning more about these changes, a public involvement meeting is scheduled for Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at City Hall, located at 7525 W. Greenfield Ave., in the Council Chambers.

Residents along W. Lincoln Ave., between S. 93rd and S. 97th Street, can expect extensive upgrades, with full roadway and sidewalk reconstruction on the agenda, the works also include the replacement of crucial infrastructure such as the existing storm, sanitary sewer, and water main facilities. According to an announcement from the City of West Allis, this project is taking great strides to improve not just the surface that cars tread, but the very bones of the city’s underground utilities.

The project scope doesn’t end there. Enhancements are coming in the form of spanking new street lighting, updated roadway signing, and fresh pavement marking to guide citizens along the renewed path.
