Time to protect new plants

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Southern Wisconsin heads into late Thursday night under clear skies and calm conditions, and that’s a recipe for frost, especially across rural areas and sheltered valleys. Overnight lows will dip into the low to mid-30s in many spots away from Milwaukee or the lakeshore, which could be enough to damage tender plants. A Frost Advisory goes into effect on Friday at 1 am through 9 am. It will be a good idea to bring in those new plants or cover them up if they’ve already been planted.
