Volatile standoff continues as extremely dangerous, heavily armed man not leaving Wisconsin residence

FREDONIA, Wis. (WFRV) – A volatile standoff in southeastern Wisconsin is ongoing as authorities say an ‘extremely dangerous’ and ‘heavily armed’ man has barricaded themself in his residence and is refusing to come out.

The situation began in the early morning hours of Friday, May 9, after the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office ordered all residents on Fox Glen Road in Fredonia to remain in their basements due to what was initially called a tactical situation.

Authorities warned the public that the man is considered extremely dangerous and was heavily armed with ‘firearms.’

As law enforcement continued throughout the morning to deescalate the situation, Fox Glen, Pheasant Lane, and Partridge Lane have all been shut down. Shortly before 6 a.m., deputies announced that St. John’s church and daycare were closed for the day due to their proximity to the ‘volatile’ situation.
