Brenda Cassellius has been at the helm of Milwaukee Public Schools for a little over 100 days and has already faced a number of major issues, such as the court-ordered return of police officers to schools, a lead crisis forcing the temporary closure of several schools, a controversial reorganization plan at the district’s central offices and continued struggles meeting financial report filing deadlines.
