First responders in Wisconsin discovered an alligator in a most unlikely place, which ended up being an animal rescue situation.

Do you remember a couple of years ago when it seemed like it was the year of the alligator? It started with Chance the Snapper in Chicago and then there were sightings the rest of that summer in Illinois and Wisconsin.
I haven’t heard of any alligator sightings lately in Wisconsin and Illinois. That’s a good thing because in those situations, the gator is not in a proper habitat, and someone has it as a pet. By the way, alligators do not make good pets.
I was just thinking to myself, it’s about time for an alligator sighting this summer and it finally happened. It was even more of a surprise than usual because the fire department found the beast in the basement ot a house fire. Luckily, the animal wasn’t hurt…
