A water main break in Greenfield flooded basements and caused significant damage to at least 20 homes on July 31, with some residents reporting up to two feet of water in their homes, according to multiple sources.
Between 5 and 6 p.m., a water main broke near the area of 37th Street and Kimberly Avenue, sending water into basements, Milwaukee Water Works Marketing & Communications Manager Betsy Vornholt said in an email. Vornholt said at least 20 homes were affected.
