‘An obstacle we can no longer overcome:’ Popular Wisconsin diner to close after 45 years

MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. (WFRV) – After 45 years of serving burgers and frozen custard, the owners of Pop’s Custard have announced they are putting the beloved Menomonee Falls business up for sale.

In a heartfelt social media post, the owners said they made the difficult decision to close due to ongoing post-pandemic challenges and rising food and labor costs.

“Navigating the last few years has been an incredible challenge,” the post reads. “The long road to recovery post-pandemic, coupled with increases in food and labor costs, has created an obstacle we can no longer overcome.”
