A 39-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a semi near the Milwaukee Public Market Tuesday, according to the Milwaukee Police Department.
Police said the semi was attempting to turn at the 400 block on N. Broadway when it struck the pedestrian, who was crossing the street. The driver of the semi remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.

When contacted for comment, Milwaukee Public Market representatives said they had no comment.
