Wisconsin DOJ raising awareness of missing child alerts

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WKBT) — The Wisconsin Department of Justice is highlighting the importance of Wisconsin’s Missing Child Alerts, which was launched in 2024.

“Too many Wisconsin families know what it’s like for a loved one to go missing,” stated Attorney General Josh Kaul in a release. “The Missing Child Alert has added to the tools available that can help bring kids home safely.”

Missing Child Alert began making the public aware of missing children in Wisconsin after Gov. Tony Evers signed the ‘Prince Act’ into law, named after 5-year-old Prince McCree, who went missing in Milwaukee, and 10-year-old Lily Peters, who went missing in Chippewa Falls…
