Innocent Driver Killed in Milwaukee Police Chase, Suspect at Large After Weekend Tragedy

The city of Milwaukee experienced yet another fatal tragedy this past weekend when a police chase for a suspect connected to a recent non-fatal shooting ended in a catastrophic collision, claiming the life of an uninvolved driver. According to a report by WISN, the pursuit commenced near the 6000 block of West Meinecke Avenue around 7:40 pm on Saturday when officers tried to stop the vehicle in question. In a desperate attempt to evade the police, the driver ultimately crashed into another car along West Center Street. The impact left the other motorist, who witnesses saw receiving CPR at the scene for an extended period, deceased.

While police have not released the identity of the victim, a witness, Kevin, recounted to WISN reporters how authorities scoured the neighborhood, “Police were going through the back of my yard and I was following them, they shine the light on me and followed them to the back of the alley, and now I am talking to you.” With the suspect still at large after fleeing on foot post-collision, authorities have yet to make any arrests but insist they have a suspect in mind.

This incident marks the fifth fatal crash resulting from a police chase in Milwaukee this year alone.
