On a recent summer evening in Milwaukee, a deadly confrontation unfolded between local police and an armed suspect. At around 7:00 p.m. on August 9, Milwaukee Police officers were investigating a vehicle connected to a string of business robberies on the 2700 block of North 60th Street. According to the Milwaukee Police Department’s Facebook post, officers located the suspect vehicle and were subsequently faced with an armed individual.
In an attempt to quickly de-escalate the situation, officers say they ordered the suspect to drop the gun multiple times. The orders went unheeded and gunfire was exchanged, with tragic results.
