MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — A 19-year-old Milwaukee woman is facing felony charges after a crash that left a motorcyclist seriously injured and led to the loss of his leg.
According to a criminal complaint, Chamari Williams was driving a Lincoln MKZ near 27th and Wright on Wednesday, Aug. 20 when she crashed into a motorcycle operated by 29-year-old Gustavo Rojas. Rojas suffered an amputation of his right leg below the knee and was taken to a hospital.
Officials say Williams left the scene without providing aid or information. She later admitted to police she was driving when the crash happened and told investigators she ran from the car because she thought it might catch fire…
