Teen charged with homicide in Brown Deer Road shootout that left 2 dead

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — A 17-year-old is facing homicide charges in connection with a June shootout that killed two people and injured three others in a Milwaukee strip mall parking lot, according to a criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County Circuit Court.

Prosecutors charged Earl Williams III with attempted first-degree intentional homicide, felony murder and possession of a machine gun after investigators linked him to a Glock 23 handgun outfitted with a switch. Detectives said 110 shell casings from 11 firearms were recovered after gunfire erupted outside a teen party on Friday, June 20 near 82nd and Brown Deer.

Officials noted that the number of casings being clustered in three separate areas in the parking lot made it appear that a “wild-west style shootout” took place…
