SOUTH MILWAUKEE, Wis. – A 15-year-old boy accused of strangling his 68-year-old relative will remain in custody as prosecutors prepare to file charges, according to court officials.
Incident and Arrest
Police and medics responded last week to a home near 17th and Oak, where they found 68-year-old Elizabeth Totsky unresponsive and without a pulse. She was rushed to the hospital but died four days later.
On Wednesday, South Milwaukee police arrested the teen after the medical examiner determined her injuries were consistent with strangulation.
Court Proceedings
During a virtual hearing Thursday, prosecutors revealed disturbing details. Assistant District Attorney Lisa Valenti-Jordan said the teen admitted to investigators that he had strangled his relative on two separate occasions, the second resulting in her death.
