When you’re trying to get to the heart of an issue, it often helps to approach it from multiple angles. Let’s start with a question: What would happen if three children were missing and feared to have been swept away in a devastating flood?
There would, rightfully so, be a large search operation, extensive media coverage and enormous public interest in locating the missing children and finding answers to what happened. We saw a recent example of that when flood waters rushed through a summer camp on July 4 in Texas.
Then consider the same question but replace children with “emergency responders,” “residents” or “workers.” The response, again rightfully so, would be similar…
