MILWAUKEE— We Energies natural gas crews are wrapping up a six-week restoration effort following August’s record rain and flooding across southeast Wisconsin.
Technicians have replaced more than 1,000 flood-damaged natural gas meters in more than a dozen neighborhoods. The work focused on meters and pressure regulators that were submerged, since dirt, debris, and contaminants can cause long term damage or safety risks.
