Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley and Mayor Cavalier Johnson announced Tuesday the opening of two disaster recovery centers to assist residents affected by flooding that occurred last month.
The centers will open Wednesday, Sept. 24, with one location in Milwaukee and another in Wauwatosa. No appointments are required for residents to visit either facility, according to a release from Crowley’s office.

“Applying for federal assistance can feel overwhelming, but no one has to navigate the process alone,” said Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley. “At the free Milwaukee County Disaster Recovery Centers, FEMA, the State of Wisconsin, and Milwaukee County will have staff ready to answer questions and provide support every step of the way.
