‘Lots of hidden gems:’ Doors Open 2025 encourages community to explore throughout Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — This weekend is Door’s Open Milwaukee, an annual event that showcases the city’s architecture, history, culture, and neighborhoods.

This year, more than 160 locations are participating, ranging from bars to churches to buildings and everything in between.

“In general, we are open to the community on other days, but we love to participate as we love our city too and we’re a part of a bigger thing across the city,” said Yesenia Villanueva, the senior director for the Urban Ecology Center’s Menomonee Valley branch. “Our mission is to connect people in cities with nature and each other.”…
