NEW BERLIN, Wis. (WFRV) – More than 60 Wisconsin workers will lose their jobs after a manufacturing company announced plans to close its facility later this year.
According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) letter submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Wausau Equipment LLC will permanently close its facility at 1905 South Moorland Road in New Berlin, resulting in the layoff of 67 employees.

Company officials say the closure will affect both salaried and hourly positions. The New Berlin plant is expected to shut down on or about December 7, 2025, with all layoffs taking place that same day.

The company confirmed there is no union representing affected employees and that no bumping rights will be available, meaning displaced employees will not be able to move into other roles within the organization.
