Milwaukee cannabis cafes aim to create a ‘judge-free’ addition to Wisconsin’s bar culture

When Canna Bloom Farmacy’s owners were building their cannabis business in 2019, co-owner Justin Letizia said they quickly noticed Wisconsin had become “a dumping ground for low-quality, untested products.”

Absent robust regulations, cannabis and hemp products were quickly flying off the shelves with limited oversight, after a loophole in the 2018 Farm Bill legalized the sale of hemp and cannabinoids statewide.

With Canna Bloom, Letizia and co-owner and founder Stephanie Lembke aimed to counteract this. At their 20,000 square-foot facility in Hartford, they grow their own flower, make edibles from scratch and brew seltzers that are sold in more than 500 stores. The company also operates a social club for people to try the products in a group setting…
