Hidden gem: State Street Pizza Pub

State Street Pizza Pub, 322 W. State St., is located inside a historic, 140-year-old building, but what’s happening on the inside feels futuristic. The narrow space is adorned with 17 large televisions screening different programs, and a robot named Princess Pizza whizzes by to deliver lunch to a table of customers.

Andrew Fish is new to the restaurant and bar game, but he’s clearly got a knack for it. Because of its close proximity to myriad Downtown venues, State Street Pizza Pub has become a popular hangout hub for before and after games, concerts and performances. But the big appeal to the small establishment is the food and drink.

On the bar side, State Street offers 16 taps of beer and a full bar. Pitchers of beer are also available, which are popular during Packers, Bucks and Brewers games. Fish regularly hosts sports parties and raffles…
