U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested a defendant at the Milwaukee County Courthouse on Oct. 30, marking at least the fourth person to be taken by immigration officers at the courthouse since April.
Milwaukee County sheriff’s deputies initiated the arrest after the defendant appeared at a hearing, according to authorities and the defendant’s attorney. A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office said deputies were helping ICE agents, who had a federal judicial warrant for the defendant’s arrest.
