BROOKFIELD, Wisconsin — Milwaukee Tool is recalling nearly 100,000 of its M18 FUEL Top Handle Chainsaws after reports that the chain brake may fail to activate, posing a risk of getting seriously cut, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The recall involves model 2826-20 with either a 12-inch or 14-inch bar. The affected units can be identified by a serial number containing the letter “A” in the fourth position. About 90,860 chainsaws were sold in the U.S. and another 7,500 in Canada, the USCPS said.
