The West Allis Police Department is turning to the public for assistance, urging anyone with knowledge of a decades-old homicide to step forward. The cold case in question is the Halloween 1995 death of Terrie L. Engel, who was found in her West Allis apartment following a fire.
On the evening of October 31, 1995, the West Allis Fire Department responded to smoke emanating from Engel’s second-story unit at Windsong Village Apartments. Upon entry, firefighters discovered her deceased body marked by wounds to the neck, and evidence indicated a subsequent effort to ignite the premises post-mortem, TMJ4 reported.
Three decades have now passed, and officials have not ceased in their pursuit of justice. “The members of the West Allis Police Department have not forgotten about Terrie Engel and are committed to seeking justice for Terrie and her family,” Chief Patrick Mitchell stated, as noted by WISN.
