MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – Police in Wisconsin are offering $25,000 for any information that leads to an arrest of a homicide suspect who officials say started shooting at kids for no reason.
Police in Wisconsin investigating after subject of Silver Alert found dead
According to a release, 37-year-old Martell Haire was criminally charged on October 27, 2025, in the death of a 16-year-old, which happened a week earlier in a shooting in Milwaukee.
A criminal complaint provided on the Milwaukee Police Department’s website states that Haire is charged with the following crimes on October 20, with potential sentences listed if convicted:
- First-Degree Reckless Homicide, Use of a Dangerous Weapon
- Faces up to 60 years in prison, with the potential for five years added on due to the dangerous weapon modifier
- Two Counts – First-Degree Reckless Injury, Use of a Dangerous Weapon
- Up to 25 years in prison per count and/or $100,000 in fines, with the potential for five years added on due to the dangerous weapon modifier
- First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Use of a Dangerous Weapon
- Up to 12.5 years in prison and/or $25,000 in fines, with the potential for five years added on due to the dangerous weapon modifier
- Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
- Up to 10 years in prison and/or $25,000 in fines
The shooting reportedly occurred on October 20, when a Milwaukee Police Officer responded to 7936 West Hampton Avenue in Milwaukee for a shooting call. The complaint alleges that the officer saw three women run up to the spot, one stating her song had been shot.
According to the complaint, the officer spoke to the three women before a sedan pulled over with occupants stating the victims were in the vehicle, and that one of them had their head down, not breathing, with a large amount of blood…
