The council, demonstrating commitment to an evolving Milwaukee, passed an impressive 51 budget adjustments that stand to reshape its city services. “During the budget process, we must always be looking for ways in which we can reimagine areas of city service and continue to innovate to support our residents both now and in the future,” Alderwoman Coggs stated in a release published by the City of Milwaukee.
The Common Council approved the creation of an in-house sidewalk repair crew, an initiative led by Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs. The move is intended to address sidewalk maintenance needs and improve resource allocation within the Department of Public Works – Infrastructure Division.
