An unusual encounter with a deer in UWM Downers Woods has sparked a discussion among UWM students and local residents. A student reported that while taking a nightly walk with roommates on the north side of Sandburg, a deer stared them down and began walking towards them. The deer was inside the fencing of Downers Woods and appeared to be acting strangely. The student and their roommates continued their walk, but the deer lunged at the fence, causing alarm.
