Police in Wisconsin go viral after posting photos of large cat in need of a new home, was found on street

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – In a fun and lighthearted story, photos of a chunky cat in Wisconsin garnered attention from many people on social media this week after police say they found him roaming around.

On Tuesday, November 18, the Greenfield Police Department posted the images of a cat that is, well, quite large.

The post said that the ‘big guy’ was found around South 65th Street and West Forest Home near Greenfield on Tuesday morning, as officials posted the images in hopes of reaching the owner.

The police department joked that they’d be teaching traffic safety and how to choose the best coffee and donuts.

As of 7 p.m. on Thursday, the post received nearly 3,000 reactions, with many of the comments joking about the big fella’s lack of need for donuts, with over 400 comments and shares each.

The Franklin Police Department also commented, joking that they would offer their MRAP to transport the cat to MADACC, where the big guy now resides, waiting for a ‘fur’ever home, as nobody claimed him…
