Milwaukee County will hold its annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, December 2, at 3:30 p.m. in the Milwaukee County Courthouse rotunda.
The event will include musical performances, family activities and a visit from Santa. This year’s tree was harvested from Sandhill Tree Farm in partnership with Milwaukee County Parks and decorated with handmade ornaments created by K4 through 8th grade students from across the county. The ornament project was coordinated by Arts @ Large, a local nonprofit focused on arts education. Students from Thurston Woods Public School helped create and hang the ornaments alongside County Executive David Crowley earlier this week.
The tree lighting will also serve as a drop-off site for the 2025 Holiday Drive, a donation effort led by Milwaukee County, the City of Milwaukee and the Brewers Community Foundation. Collected items will benefit the American Red Cross of Wisconsin, with a focus on assisting families affected by home fires. Attendees are encouraged to bring new items from the program’s donation wish list. More information on requested items is available online…
