On the surface Milwaukee County District Attorney Kent Lovern can appear unemotional or even indifferent. He is neither. Lovern is passionate about many things inside and outside the courtroom.
In the latest installment of Mercurious I spent some time at one of the places that Lovern feels most strongly about, The Milwaukee Urban Stables.
The stables are in the heart of Milwaukee tucked away between railroad tracks and clue collar businesses. It is an urban oasis. The stables house the Milwaukee Police Department Mounted Patrol and equine therapy for Milwaukee youth and our veterans. Strengthening our community through service, care and healing. Lovern was the first Chairman of the Board for Milwaukee Urban Stables and he is still involved today.
