MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — A caretaker has been charged with reckless neglect causing death after not calling 911 or seeking medical attention for a patient that was allegedly strangling himself.
On August 11, 2025, officers arrived at to the Right Way Family Home, a group home on W. Casper Street in Milwaukee. They found the victim lying on his back, with blood clotting beneath his head and a bruise on his neck. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
The complaint outlines that law personnel spoke to one of the caretakers at the group home. He said that when he arrived for his shift, he made contact with the caregiver from the night before, identified as Deshawn Wilson, and found the victim lying on the ground in the kitchen…
