Mayor Issues Black Arts MKE Day Proclamation Tonight

Part of Black Arts MKE’s 10th Anniversary Celebration as Black Nativity Opens This Evening

MILWAUKEE, WI — Tonight at the Marcus Performing Arts Center, Mayor Cavalier Johnson will join Black Arts MKE Board Chair Cory L. Nettles on stage to officially proclaim Black Arts MKE Day in the City of Milwaukee, honoring the organization’s 10th anniversary. The proclamation highlights Black Arts MKE’s decade-long impact supporting hundreds of Milwaukee-based artists annually, contributing hundreds of thousands of dollars in wages, and sustaining a vibrant local arts economy while expanding arts education and cultural programming across the city.
