A homicide investigation is underway after a person was found with gunshot wounds in their vehicle at an Oak Creek apartment complex, according to the Oak Creek Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to the complex, near South 20th Street and West College Avenue, just after 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23.
There, officers found a person in a vehicle who was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of first responders, according to police.
What led up to the shooting, which is being investigated as a homicide, is still under investigation, and no suspects are in custody.
