Urban spelunking: St. Vincent de Paul Church, now a County Landmark

Standing in the nave at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 2114 W. Mitchell St., one is struck by the sheer size of the place, which opened as an offshoot of nearby St. Hyacinth, whose congregation had grown too large. The church was recently landmarked by Milwaukee County Historical Society and went over for a tour.
