Temperatures are forecast to drop below freezing Sunday night, turning the rain to snow accompanied by gusty winds up to 40 mph. According to the NWS, Warm temperatures and rain on Sunday will transition to snow as temperatures drop rapidly below freezing Sunday night. Areas affected by the system could see around an inch of snow by Monday morning.
Monday is expected to bring significant snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, with areas north from Sauk to Ozaukee Counties possibly seeing up to 4 inches.
