Milwaukee County Research Park development plan will make it more than a nine-to-five area

Timing is everything, and the effort to redevelop the Milwaukee County Research Park in Wauwatosa couldn’t come at a better juncture, said Tom Irgens, executive vice president of Irgens, and Mark Hammond, the development director of the city of Wauwatosa.

They’re still in the beginning planning phases of reshaping the 175-acre area, which is currently home to over 1.4 million square feet of Class A office space and flex properties, but both Hammond and Irgens are excited about increasing long-term value for the community. A specific timeline for when construction will begin is hard to pin-down, but they said it should come in time to take advantage of the improved transportation infrastructure via the nearby Interstate 94 expansion project.
