Another new year, another batch of new restaurants to look forward to in Milwaukee.
Some come from big names in the Milwaukee dining scene and others are opening their first brick-and-mortar spaces after gaining fans at farmers markets, food trucks and private events. We’ll see more sushi, Italian cuisine, Mediterranean fare, French food, pizza and chicken wings.
There’s so much to look forward to, but if you’re already hungry for something new, a few local restaurants opened their doors just before the end of the year. That includes two barbecue restaurants: Flava House, which opened in the former Heaven’s Table BBQ space, 5507 W. North Ave., in early December; and Smokin’ Jacks BBQ, which opened in the former Izzy Hops space, 2311 N. Murray Ave., on Dec. 22…
